Leicestershire County Council

In 2005 LRPT established a project with Leicestershire County Council that provided the resources to create a graffiti removal team. The team travels around the county to clean off graffiti from public buildings and leisure facilities.

The county council supplied the trailer, equipment and cleaning fluids while the Probation Trust provide specially trained staff to supervise the equipments used by the team of offenders. The service only applies to the county of Leicestershire as Leicester City Council has its own graffiti removal team.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact their individual district councils who pass on the requests for the services of the graffiti removal team.

Last year the graffiti removal teams cleaned off painting and writing at more than 30 locations in Leicestershire. Community buildings, parish halls, bridges and play equipment have all benefited from the work of the supervised cleaning teams.
