Partnerships

LRPA works with a range of statutory bodies and voluntary agencies to protect the public and reduce re-offending. For example, we are involved in Local Area Agreements in the city and county, and work on a multi-agency basis with prolific and drug-using offenders.

We have agreed a partnership Plan with the Regional Offender Manager, which is designed to build firm foundations for an expansion in sub-contracting with the voluntary, private and statutory sectors over time as the Area develops its expertise in Best Value and procurement, whilst recognising the considerable skill and expertise of its existing workforce. The emphasis is on partnership and building alliances, attracting new sources of funding for work with offenders and utilising the skills of all parties to best effect to reduce re-offending.
