Probation Programmes

Have you ever stopped to think about why you have got into trouble? What lead up to it? Could you have handled things differently? Does it keep happening?

You have been ordered to attend a programme, and your Offender Manager and programme tutors will explain in more detail what the programme is about. How many sessions there are and what you will be doing. Most of the programmes are run in groups with people who have committed similar offences.

Forget bad experiences at school. The Probation Service wants you to learn from this programme and complete all the sessions. We want you to finish and know that you are not going to make the same mistakes again. The Probation Service is going to supervise you - and support you to make sure that you get the most out of this work. At the end of the programme you will have learnt a new way to approach the problems in your life - and the way you behave.

At Leicestershire and Rutland we run a range of courses and here's some comments from people who have attended a Probation programme.
