Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme
The
Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme (IDAP) is designed to challenge group members’ patterns of thinking that underpins and maintains their violent and abusive behaviour.
IDAP is based on the belief that, with few exceptions, men who behave abusively
towards their female partners are deliberately attempting to control their
victim.
The IDAP team has a designated women’s safety worker who liaises with the men’s
current and former partners, and provides opportunities for the victims to have
a voice in the process.
