Community Protection 

Protecting the community is at the heart of the work of the Probation Service. Approved Premises provide residential places for men and women who have been ordered to live at a specified address that introduces structure and supervision into their lifestyles with the aim of reducing reoffending.

The most effective way to manage and supervise potentially dangerous offenders in the community is for the relevant agencies to work together.  MAPPA is the strategy to realise this aim.
